Top Image Systems (TiS) has announced the release of the newest version of its imaging software, AFPSPro. The new version will be showcased at the 1999 AIIM tradeshow in Atlanta, Georgia next month (April 12-15).
Version 3.0 of AFPSPro offers the latest versions of leading optical recognition engines, including AEG/CGK, Nestor, Cleqs, Re-Kadmos, ExperVision, Parascript and Ligature.
Tzvi Appel, MD of local TiS distributor Exsol, says AFPSPro V.3.0 includes a range of new features which maximise recognition accuracy and overall system throughput. These include:
Internet modules: AFPSPro V.3.0 innovations bridge between remote AFPSPro sites via Internet for Remote/Home Completion and other remote modules.
ActiveX programming interface: The new ActiveX component serves as a mediator between the system integrator`s or VAR`s environment and AFPSPro. AFPSPro can now be customised to the customer`s needs by using any programming tool of choice: Visual Basic, Delphi, Visual C++ and more.
4WD-ICR: TiS`s "four-wheel drive" engine constitutes a set of algorithms built to interpret the most rough terrain of difficult forms such as third-generation copies.
Dynamic workflow (DW): An open and flexible design environment enables various workflow topologies, as well as prioritised processing, sorting to various typists and more to be tailored to each customer`s production.
Y2K compliancy: AFPSPro has been tested and approved to be Y2K-compliant.
Tile mode: Using the human eye as the most sophisticated recognition engine, tile mode enables the validation of e-information character-by-character.
Field arrays: By defining forms containing hundreds of similar fields as one field at one time, AFPSPro saves processing time.
Formless forms Solution: FormOut!, the form recognition and removal tool in AFPSPro, now supports recognition and registrations of forms printed with drop-out ink.
Super ICR: TiS`s advanced voting method learns from past behaviour of recognition engines and can be trained in the customer facility.
Exsol is a company in the JSE-listed MGX Holdings group.
