TMC Labs honours Interactive Intelligence with Unified Communications Innovation award

Interactive Intelligence honoured for “communications-based process automation” product designed to provide quantifiable return on investment for unified communications.

Johannesburg, 07 Aug 2009

Interactive Intelligence received the award for its “communications-based process automation” product, Interaction Process Automation (IPA), designed to provide quantifiable return on investment for unified communications.

“What impressed us the most as we looked at IPA was the measurable, positive impact the product could have on a business's bottom line,” said TMC Labs editorial director and CTO, Tom Keating. “Going well beyond mere personal productivity gains, IPA uses UC technology to drive cost and time out of common business processes. This comprehensive approach to process automation is something truly unique in the industry.”

IPA leverages the Interactive Intelligence IP-based unified communications platform to orchestrate the delivery of work, and give organisations everything they need to capture, prioritise, route, escalate and track each step of a business process.

Interactive Intelligence developed IPA as an alternative to traditionally complex process management suites and toolkits, which require extensive professional services, costly custom programming, and lengthy implementation cycles.

Now in its 10th year, the TMC Labs Innovation Awards honour products that have demonstrated raw innovation, unique features, and significant contributions toward improving communications technology.
