South African distributor RapidCloud Technology has secured distribution rights for the products of US-based software vendor EDX Wireless, a worldwide leader in wireless network design tools. It will also provide consulting and support services on the software product range.
According to RapidCloud Technology CEO, Arnoud de Nooy, effective and profitable wireless networks are the result of careful design.
"There are numerous factors and constraints that have to be understood, mapped and managed to create a wireless network that not only ensures effective traffic and frequency planning, but also the most efficient use of network equipment. With the advent of WiMAX, De Nooy says this new partnership gives RapidCloud the ability to assist carriers and network operators in Africa with the planning tools and software for designing and optimising these deployments.
