Torque-IT announces the launch of a training package series

Johannesburg, 08 Sep 2000

For many people, cost is the largest single factor in their decision of where to study. This is the cause of one of the training industries greatest issues - the fly-by-night training centers.

Understanding that price is the overriding concern for many newcomers to the IT industry, these training centers offer incredible packages to the unsuspecting consumer at vastly reduced prices. By using well known brand names such as the A+ and the MCSE, these centers lend themselves credibility by association with the larger players.

But the ultimate business law holds true here as it does everywhere else - you get what you pay for. The cheaper courses use low caliber or even illegally photocopied courseware, instructors who do not know the products anywhere nearly as well as they should, and above all, low-grade or, in the worst cases, no hardware and equipment on which to get the practical experience that is the most crucial aspect of any such course.

To provide a solution to this dilemma, Torque-IT has recently announced the launch of an exciting new series of training packages known as "No-Frills High Quality ". This unique program allows cost-conscious consumers to invest in a guaranteed name-brand training institution at a far lower cost.

"What we have done", says Gary Chalmers, CEO of Torque-IT, "is to remove all the high cost extra`s we traditionally give our clients and offer a bare bones training program that still uses superb quality courseware, the highest grade equipment available, and vendor-certified trainers." The result is a training package that costs much less, whilst maintaining an integrity level in the areas where it counts.

Says Chalmers, "This doesn`t mean that there is no market for our standard products. In fact, this offering is a service to those who simply cannot afford to get any other way. It is not ideal, nor the best solution available, but it is certainly streaks ahead of the fly-by-night offers which inevitably end in the prospective student losing or wasting their investment."
