Toshiba releases detachable camera projectors

Johannesburg, 09 Oct 2003

Toshiba has introduced the company`s first two projectors equipped with detachable projection cameras (cable-connected) to the South African channel.

The T61 and S41 models, now available from Rectron, are from Toshiba`s "Performance Camera" series and allow flexible projection from different "points of view".

Explains Andr'e Rossouw, Toshiba product manager at Rectron: "With the camera, smaller objects or models can be captured and presented from all sides. This is particularly important for presentations that feature shape and design."

The detachable cameras also feature zoom functionality which means that small objects can be displayed clearly and in-depth.

Just like with the previous models equipped with an integrated cameras, these two new models can perform classic overhead functions.

"Both the Toshiba models feature a brightness of 1 500 ANSI lumens, thus making them the perfect choice for presentation in front of large audiences, even in daylight conditions," he comments.

The T61 and S41 are compatible with conventional PC and Macintosh systems. Also, the integrated inputs and outputs can be used to connect DVD players, VCRs, digital cameras or even game consoles.
