Touchline Media, a division of Media 24, is able to conduct real-time business and effectively tap into its IT resources as a result of high-level support from its IT partner Integr8 IT.
The three-year service level agreement between the national network integration and infrastructure support specialist and the media company, responsible for an array of titles such as Men`s Health and SA Sports Illustrated, has made provision for consistent and proactive attention to the network.
"We have been involved with maintenance on servers, consultation on networking infrastructure design and new installations. We form an integral part of their internal IT department to add value to their services," explains Gerhard Conradie, senior network engineer at Integr8 IT.
Touchline recently revamped its network infrastructure by upgrading to a full Gigabit switched infrastructure.
"By utilising 3COM 4400 SuperStack Gigabit equipment, we have been able to improve the throughput on the network immensely," says Willem Swart, user support administrator at Touchline Media.
Touchline Media has also recently migrated to Computer Associates E-Trust Anti-Virus 7. This very successful 160-seat roll-out will drastically reduce the annual maintenance cost on anti-virus support.
