Tradek improves its voice portal

Online trading company Tradek has improved its voice portal service, which now allows clients to receive more detailed information.

"In addition to listening to your portfolio status, you can also receive more detailed information about live share prices in your portfolio and on your watch list," says Tradek webmaster Sasha Naryshkine.

The voice guide, dubbed "Andy" now also informs clients about the highest bid and lowest offer prices, the last traded price and the volume traded for the day.

Naryshkine says Tradek clients do not need to phone a different number for each share. As long as the stock is on the client`s watch list (which is set up on the Web site), the service will read out the information, unless told not to.

He says the voice portal, which is run on the systems of Vodacom and Vocalis, will have additional features installed "in the next few weeks and months".

The voice portal is powered by Vocalis`s SpeecHTML service and is ASP-based.
