Navision Software, a leading provider of enterprise business management software, has appointed Tradepage, a specialist business Internet Service Provider, as a Navision Software Solution Centre (NSC) in South Africa. The Internet development skills of Tradepage, combined with Navision`s customised packages, will provide clients with a comprehensive platform on which to extend their business over the Internet.
According to Tradepage managing director Kevin Halliday, Navision Software offers flexible, scalable solutions with increased functionality. "We chose to become an NSC because both the product and the company are well suited for our target market, medium-sized businesses. Navision`s structure is flexible, making it possible to adapt to any business while managing growth simultaneously."
"Navision Software is easy to use and is designed for the Microsoft environment, which suits us perfectly. What makes it even more suitable, Navision Software has been designed for the Internet. In pursuing our objective of developing business on the Internet, we need to work closely with other companies like Navision who want to offer a comprehensive range of business related Internet services and products. The Internet is our business as well as that of our more than six hundred corporate clients," he adds. At Softworld in Munich last month, Microsoft singled out Navision Software as the most successful integration of e-commerce functionality in an ERP solution. Like Tradepage, many qualified professionals at NSC`s countrywide take care of sales, direct service and also support customers that are already using Navision`s accounting and business management solution.
Navision managing director Keith Mullan believes the success of future businesses will largely depend on their adoption of E-commerce. "We are extremely excited by the appointment of Tradepage as a NSC. Not only will this opportunity expand our business over the Internet, Tradepage will also play a critical role in our business, today and in the future."
Mullan adds: "Use of the Internet for business is a revolutionary change, producing huge cost savings and competitive advantage for the businesses quick to adopt it. The Internet is driving communication and collaboration both within and between companies, advancing globalisation, and providing cost-effective channels for electronic commerce. By 2002, according to the best projections, Internet commerce will likely be a R1800-billion business."
