TransUnion concludes two BEE deals
Risk management firm, TransUnion, has concluded two separate black economic empowerment (BEE) transactions, with a market value of over R80 million, reports AngolaPress.
The first deal involves the introduction of the Cida Empowerment Fund, a broad based empowerment entity and the second deal involves the introduction of Safika Investments, the private equity investment arm of Safika Holdings.
"The deal, subject to regulatory approval, is a strong mix of both broad-based empowerment and complementary business strategy, placing both TransUnion and Safika into new markets," says Vuli Cuba, CEO of Safika Holdings.
BCSnet, RedSox BEE partnership
A BEE ICT company, BCSnet and RedSox Telecommunication have entered into a multi-million rand partnership, reports MoneyWeb.
BCSnet is an e-service provider of outsourced ICT infrastructure services in Southern Africa, while RedSox is a provider of voice over IP, IP switching, computer technology integration, call centre applications, communication cost and efficiency management, voice and data mobility solutions, turnkey applications and project management.
RedSox MD, Neill Friedman says the partnership was meant to capitalise on the companies` synergies and to contain users` costs, improve operational efficiency, shore-up productivity and greatly enhance profitability.
