Potgieter steps down after a two-year stint as executive chairman, having taken up the role a year after the sale of TelePassport to the Huge Group in 2007. He will remain as an executive director of Huge's board and as managing director of Huge Media.
Tredoux is not new to the telecoms industry, having spent close to 12 years, prior to his appointment at Huge, working as part of the executive management team at mobile operator MTN. He will take up the position as non-executive chairman with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the company has begun the search for a financial director after Michelle Meth resigned last week. The company's CEO, James Herbst, will take over the role in an acting capacity until a replacement is found.
Ken Jarvis will remain as lead independent director of Huge, notes the company.
