Trend Micro strengthens MSP programme

Trend Micro, a global cloud security leader, has announced a set of expanded managed service provider (MSP) capabilities along with enhanced channel programmes and certifications enabling MSP partners to focus on increasing value to their customers and growing their managed services business, Yahoo News reports.

According to the 2012 Trend Micro global study on SME channel partners, 78% surveyed indicated they are offering some sort of managed services as part of their channel offering. Trend Micro is committed to helping partners profit from the cloud transformation in IT. In order to help channel partners do this, Trend Micro continues to expand its set of MSP enabled tools, solutions and incentives to help partners transform their business from traditional VAR to cloud service provider and grow their profits. Trend Micro's Managed Service Provider programme offers a compelling solution set and transaction/management tools that enable resellers to increase the value of their business and become more profitable and productive.

New elements include a self-provisioning licensing platform and Web-based management that enables MSP partners to self-provision and auto-renew licences in minutes, according to Magi Diego, Trend Micro's director of SME marketing, CRN notes.

"This is all about making life easier for our partners and helping them to build solid and high-value businesses as managed service providers," she said. "We're trying to increase the speed of business while at the same time reducing the administrative requirements associated with our business security services offerings that include e-mail, Web and desktop security as a service."
