Trilogic launches second version of fleet management system

Johannesburg, 12 Mar 2004

Following the success of "Digital Vision", Trilogic Solutions has launched the second version of its fleet management system. The main advantage of this version is that it supports low-cost live tracking to monitor vehicles throughout southern Africa.

The package includes all the standard features of the first version such as polling of vehicles to pinpoint their exact location within a matter of seconds. The second version includes advanced features such as live tracking. The technology harnesses new cellular technology called GPRS to communicate on a minute by minute basis with the vehicle. Using GPRS, we have been able to reduce the communication costs.

The package harnesses the power of LogicSMS (Trilogic`s SMS engine), to notify fleet owners of the particular status of the vehicle.

For example, an SMS notification is sent when a vehicle enters or leaves a predetermined area, when a panic button is pressed or any other customised event such as when the vehicle is in a collision or when a door opens.

In the new version, the package`s mapping engine has been upgraded to include vector mapping, which enables the end-user to zoom, pan and search for any street in SA.

Trilogic Solutions has once again been able to bring a quality service at a low cost because the technology and intellectual capital has been developed in-house.

Trilogic Solutions is also in the process of appointing resellers of the system to increase market share. IT companies or fitment centres are welcome to apply.
