TripIt (http://www.tripit.com/) and Lexmark International (NYSE: LXK) today launched the TripIt SmartSolution to make it easier for busy travellers around the world to print their travel plans.
With the TripIt SmartSolution, global travellers can easily manage their business and personal travel plans via the one-touch printer solution that connects to their existing TripIt account.
Without even having to turn on their computer, travellers, their co-workers and families can easily print their itineraries using Lexmark's award-winning, Web-connected1, all-in-one (AIO) inkjet printers - Platinum, Pinnacle, Prestige and Interact.
Once installed, the free TripIt SmartSolution adds a “TripIt” icon to the touch-screen display on the Lexmark printer. Once clicked, that displays a list of the traveller's upcoming trips, which can be selected and printed. Lexmark and TripIt developed the SmartSolution application to streamline travel organisation, eliminate traveller stress, and help people save time.
Travellers can create a free TripIt account by simply forwarding their flight, hotel and additional travel confirmation e-mails to plans@tripit.com, no matter where they book. TripIt automatically compiles this information and creates a master itinerary, complete with maps, directions, weather and whatever the traveller needs for their trip.
