Microblogging site Twitter, which suffered a massive outage affecting millions of users across the globe this morning, is back online.
The social network's Web site and mobile applications were all inaccessible this morning with users taking to other platforms like Facebook to vent their frustrations.
When trying to log on to Twitter, users were met with the following message: "Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing - we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon."
The glitch affected Twitter's own iOS and Android apps and the company's application programming interface - the system applications used to communicate with Twitter.
The company earlier confirmed that: "Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution."
Twitter has about 300 million users worldwide.
