This week, Xpedia is launching two exciting new products, Month End Assistant and Task Assistant.
These products are the first two in a new range of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) assistant products from Xpedia. From its vast experience in the Oracle EBS market, Xpedia has identified a number of areas where assistant applications can help Oracle clients extract more value from their investments.
One such area is month end processes. Month ends can be notoriously tricky, and mistakes or incomplete processes often require great effort and cost to fix later, a trend that Xpedia identified at numerous clients and that formed the starting point for development of its assistant products. These products have already been implemented at Internet Solutions as a beta site, and Xpedia has refined the products based on this real world feedback to ensure maximum value to users.
Xpedia's Month End Assistant (MEA) provides a designed-for-mobile dashboard overview of month end statuses. Security is fully integrated with Oracle EBS so that users logging in immediately get a glimpse of the status for every legal entity, operating unit and module that they have access to. Users can drill down from legal entity to operating unit, from operating unit to modules, and finally into a more detailed report for each module. Month end status is highlighted throughout, at every level, so that management can get a very quick idea of overall month end progress and easily identify any bottlenecks.
Task Assistant goes one step further and actually allows users to create and assign tasks and to then track progress of tasks as they're completed. Tasks don't necessarily need to relate to the month end process, or even to Oracle EBS actions, but could be related to any part of any business process. Ease of use and universal accessibility through a mobile interface help ensure efficiency in management of these processes.
Xpedia does deliver a standard month-end task template, with Task Assistant designed to specifically make life easier for Oracle users around month end. This is based on Oracle best practices and provides a standard set of tasks that need to be completed in Oracle EBS for each module, thus helping users to get it done right the first time.
Combined, these two products form a great toolset to make life easier for management of complex and often neglected month end processes in Oracle EBS.
