IBM addresses challenges
IBM is addressing some key issues and trends seen in the healthcare sector at the Arab Health 2008 conference, taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, reports MySolutionInfo.
IBM on the first day discussed the topic: "The State of Electronic Health Record (EHR)". EHR is one of the most significant developments in healthcare IT.
The presentation gave a brief background of how EHR has developed, and also addressed some important considerations when implementing an EHR system.
MediNotes' EMR recognised
The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) has announced MediNotes' product MediNotes e version 5.2 Electronic Medical Record (EMR), according to PR-Inside.
The system is pre-market, conditionally CCHIT-certified, and meets the commission's ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) criteria for 2007.
Pre-market, conditionally certified EHRs are new products that are fully certified once their operational use at a physician office site has been verified.
