UIF Seminar: All you need to know

Johannesburg, 19 Jun 2012

The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) is of critical importance to all employees, and can ultimately be the factor that helps unemployed individuals back on their feet. It is, however, essential that employers understand the principles of the UIF law, as well as the operational requirements that must be complied with before benefits can be paid to those in need.

To answer some of the crucial questions around UIF, Softline VIP will host a morning seminar from 9am to 12:30pm, during July and August 2012, at various venues throughout South Africa.

Softline VIP payroll and legislative expert, Rob Cooper, will lead the discussion, assisted by senior level officials from the UIF. There will also be a UIF helpdesk at each of the seminars to aid attendees with any queries.

Topics that will be discussed at the UIF Seminar include:

* The legislation framework in brief
* Contributions, calculations and limits
* All the ins and outs of benefits
* The new Virtual Office system, in full

Dates and venues:

12 July: Conferencing @ Softline, Woodmead
16 July: Sanlam Head Office, Cape Town
17 July: Gateway Hotel, Durban
