UK immigration deploys content management

The UK`s Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND) has deployed a new content management system (CMS) from Mediasurface.

"IND selected the Mediasurface content management suite and Morello smart client to redevelop all of its public facing Web sites, including the main IND site and its "Working in the UK" sites, which have the highest visitor traffic of all home office Web sites," writes PublicTechnology.net.

The IND regulates entry to and settlement in the UK, provides a work permit system, and deals with citizenship, long term immigration applications, and those seeking refuge and asylum.

Content management conference gears up

The 8th annual Content Management Strategies Conference, in San Francisco next week, aims to give insights into the practicalities of moving into content management.

CM Strategies 2006, on 3-5 April, will comprise three essential tracks: management, technical, and DITA; plus a new user- and vendor-coordinated demo track.

The conference features "a community of information developers and publishers who value building and managing core content as much as its presentation and delivery," writes CRM Today.

Content Management Corp, MPI partners

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) have announced a partnership with Content Management Corporation as its strategic to capture and publish content generated during professional development sessions at MPI conferences, according to TravelDailyNews.com.

Content Management Corporation will work closely with MPI`s professional development team to record sessions, capturing information and producing CD-ROMs for conference delegates.

"We are very excited about our partnership with MPI and we look forward to working with the professional development team," says Mathew Diamond, MD, Content Management Corporation.
