Ultimate Software reports 16% increase

Utimate , a provider of strategic human resources (HR), payroll, and talent management solutions, has released its financial results for the third quarter of 2008, reports IBT.

For the quarter ended 30 September 2008, Ultimate Software reported total revenue of $43.9 million, an increase of 16%, and recurring revenue of $26.7 million, a 21% increase, both compared with 2007's third quarter.

GAAP net loss for the third quarter of 2008 was $3.1 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, versus GAAP net income of $2.4 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2007.

WebApps, IBS partner

WebApps, also known as SaaS.com, a provider of software as a and workforce management solutions, has partnered with Ideal Business Solutions, an HR service provider, according to PRWeb.

Ideal Business Solutions, which did not offer a workforce management or time and attendance solution, believed its clients didn't have all the tools needed to efficiencies and productivity.

"For us to stay competitive, we needed a strategic partner that could apply cutting-edge resources to our clients," said Paula Fulghum, director of change for Ideal Business Solutions.

Core3 unveils HR offering

Core3 has unveiled its HR On DemandSM platform and service offering. HR On DemandSM automates all HR-related activities and provides administrators and employees with the full functionality of an enterprise-class, Web-based HR information system, according to PR Canada.

Designed specifically to meet the needs of small to mid-sized companies, HR On DemandSM provides secure, anytime, anywhere access to critical employee information and HR processes.

“We have been delivering HR outsourcing services for several years, but this new delivery model, integrated with our payroll outsourcing solution, allows us to provide comprehensive HR services that better fit our clients' needs,” said Chris Creaney, president of Core3.
