International container management and monitoring company Cornelder`s office in Beira, Mozambique, has been supplied with hardware and software for its new office network by Ultra Network Solutions, a member of the Softline Group in terms of a deal clinched in January this year. "Cornelder Beira monitors and manages containers all up the West Coast of Africa, and urgently needed a network to keep pace with the increasing workflow," says Warren Papas, corporate account manager at Ultra. Lorge Consulting provided an ACCPAC accounting system, for Cornelder, and Ultra was called in to ensure that the company`s networking hardware and software platform could support the application. In addition to the UPS for the server, Ultra also supplied the software necessary to upgrade Cornelder`s existing systems to Windows NT and the higher memory requirements.
"The major challenge of the sale was getting the hardware and products to Beira," says Papas. "Most foreign companies buying systems arrange for the shipping and freighting process themselves, but in this case Ultra provided a door to door delivery service."
