Unison, author of what is considered to be Africa's leading telecommunications expense management platform, is now an SAP partner. It also confirms its newly acquired strategic SAP Extended Business Partner relationship with one of the country's premier SAP BusinessObjects Partners, ASYST Intelligence.
These latest developments allow Unison to leverage the power of SAP's Business Analytic Suite. Known for its ability to extract relevant and actionable communications intelligence, the company is extremely excited about the value that this will be adding to its clients.
"The diversity and complexity of modern communications landscapes has created a number of challenges around monitoring and controlling communications spend," explains Unison's director for strategic business development, Keith Jones. "Unison's existing product suite already supports a holistic approach to managing enterprise communications, but access to data is key to understanding communication spend and user consumption patterns. SAP is commonly regarded as the most important silo of information in the business. Our SAP certification and subsequent partnership with ASYST opens up huge opportunities for decoding the value in this data, through SAP's BusinessObjects' powerful suite of analytic tools."
Paul Morgan, managing director of ASYST Intelligence, concurs: "The value we can offer with our deep understanding of analytics, the business and the SAP environment is quite compelling. We can provide clients with valuable insights into their business and how the current market trends are affecting them, leading to more informed decision-making, more realistic planning and budgeting for the future, and ultimately, improved productivity."
Unison currently services more than half of the Top 500 companies in South Africa, the majority of which utilise SAP in some form or another. "We have considered all the available touch points provided by SAP, from HR to finance to CRM to operations, and recognise that in order for clients to realise the full value from their data, it needs to be integrated into as many operational levels within the business as possible," says Jones.
This certification and partnership is the first step on a roadmap that will shortly see the release of an enterprise communications data warehouse capable of monitoring and tracking all forms of communication across the enterprise. "Our ultimate goal is the delivery of a single platform that will be able to manage all communications events in the converged market, regardless of platform or vendor," says Jones.
Unison and ASYST Intelligence will be collaborating on a series of workshops in the near future to showcase the value the partnership can offer to SAP customers. For more information on these, please visit www.unison.co.za.
