Unisys Corporation today announced that it has acquired VeriCom, a privately held Norwegian information technology consulting company. Founded in 1997, VeriCom has grown quickly, producing double-digit revenue growth and a strong customer base across a variety of industries in Norway.
The VeriCom acquisition represents a significant increase in intellectual capital Unisys brings to bear in Norway, and positions Unisys to capitalize on the growing Norwegian IT services market. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Commenting on the acquisition, Martin Canning, expertise centre manager, European Business Infrastructure & Technology Services for International Data Corp (IDC), said, "Overall, the Norwegian services market is experiencing robust growth, with particularly strong demand for consulting and integration services focused on internet and e-business initiatives."
