Unisys releases MS solution

Unisys has unveiled its InfoImage Connector for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. The solution enables Unisys customers to seamlessly connect Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Unisys InfoImage document imaging and workflow solutions, states Business Wire.

Unisys InfoImage is used by financial services firms, government agencies and other organisations, to process high volumes of loans, claims and tax forms in form. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 is a collaboration and portal software suite.

Unisys believes this combination will enable users of both solutions to enhance productivity and improve their ability to comply with disclosure requirements.

Ingres unveils Database 9.2

Ingres, a provider of open source database software and support services, has released Ingres Database 9.2, says CIOL.

Ingres Database 9.2 is flexible and scalable, enabling users to cope with complex, multi-language requirements, including business intelligence, content management, data warehousing, enterprise resource planning, and logistics management.

"With Ingres Database 9.2, we offer our global customers an integrated open source database like no other on the market, in terms of innovation, technology feature-set, and affordability," said Roger Burkhardt, president and CEO of Ingres.

Thomson, Vivesta team up

Video solutions provider Thomson says its Grass Valley division is working with Vivesta, a broadcast media software company based in Hilversum, the Netherlands, to market affordable channel management, and content management solutions to small and mid-sized broadcasters, according to 4RFV.

These solutions will include the Grass Valley K2 media server and Vivesta's MediaFlow scalable broadcast management and automation encoding workflow software.

Jeff Rosica, senior VP of the Grass Valley division, said: "This joint solution is part of our effort to continue to drive down the already affordable price per channel of our powerful K2 media servers in all types of content workflows, making sophisticated content management technology available to a wide range of broadcasters.
