Unisys wins outsourcing deal
Unisys Corporation has signed a seven-year IT outsourcing services contract with The Diamond Trading Company (DTC), according to WebWire.
The contract has a value of about $16.5 million.
Under the contract, Unisys will manage the DTC`s data centre server environment, including supporting virtualisation technology, which helps server computers perform more tasks more quickly.
AT&T, IBM enquiry deadline set
The European Commission said the deadline for its inquiry into AT&T`s proposed $1 billion outsourcing agreement with IBM is set for 18 December, reports CNN Money.
The deal will be examined under the commission`s `simplified procedure` for which it does not have major competition concerns.
Under the terms of the agreement, IBM will outsource the delivery and management of much of its global telecommunications services operations to AT&T.
TCS secures outsourcing contract
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has won a four-year contract valued at over US$200 million with the Social Security Institute of Mexico (IMSS), reports Digital Media Asia.
TCS won the contract following a public bid process and a rigorous assessment based on technology and financial parameters.
In its role as the strategic IT services partner for IMSS, TCS will provide end-to-end IT services, including application maintenance and support, custom software development, business analysis services and management of strategic IT programmes.
