Called InnoTech, the centre provides students with printing and binding facilities, and showcases Ricoh's office technologies and document management solutions for local businesses.

Sacramento city office goes digital

The Sacramento city office provided a sneak peek into its upcoming electronic agenda system, reports Sacramento Press.

“One of the things that we talk about in the city clerk's office is that we are no longer an administrative office or a clerical office, we're really a technology office,” said Dawn Bullwinkel, assistant city clerk, noting that the office depends on technology to deliver information.

“We're going to be so committed to getting rid of our paper, we are not going to be printing resolutions, ordinances or minutes,” Bullwinkel said. “They are going to be signed digitally.” The office estimates it will save paper each year by creating its agendas to digital form.
