An acquisition in Arizona is expected to boost Logicalis US`s Contract Consulting Services Group`s (CCSG`s) services revenue to about $50 million.
Logicalis, a subsidiary of JSE-listed Datatec, is a provider of IT systems and integration solutions. Alliance Consulting is a subsidiary of Safeguard Scientifics and provides IT consulting and software solutions.
Datatec group finance director David Pfaff says the acquisition of Phoenix-based Alliance Southwest, which is expected to be completed in the next two months, will add 70 consultants to CCSG.
Once the deal is finalised, Logicalis will have 250 service delivery consultants.
According to Alliance Consulting, the sale includes the Phoenix, Dallas and Los Angeles operations.
"The sale of our southwest region is an important strategic divestiture for our company," says Alliance Consulting president and CEO Anthony Ibarg"uen.
He says the sale helps the company focus on its core mission of providing information management and application outsourcing solutions to its life sciences, financial services and manufacturing clients.
"We are impressed with Logicalis and happy to have found an appropriate home for our southwest region employees and clients," he says.
