AST Enterprise Solutions Management (ESM), the sole distributor of Brio Software in southern Africa, has announced that the US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) has selected Brio`s Performance Suite to help streamline its performance tracking procedures.
"The proven ease-of-use and deployment of Brio`s Performance Suite enables the USAREC to tap into existing data and spot recruiting trends in a timely manner that greatly improves the decision-making and reporting process throughout every critical point in the organisation," explains Andrew Cook of AST ESM, a division of the AST Group.
With more than 7 458 recruiters located in 1 655 offices nationwide and overseas, the USAREC is responsible for providing the command, control and staff support needed to meet the Army`s requirements of 104 000 new soldiers annually. Before implementing Brio`s tools and applications, leadership within the USAREC was unaware of how its subordinate organisations were performing relative to established goals, objectives and metrics. Performance report generation within the agency was time-consuming and tedious, and often resulted in reports being made redundant due to inaccurate data and lack of timely information.
With the deployment of the Brio Performance Suite, the USAREC now has the ability to accurately track the performance of 7 458 recruiters and their respective leadership chains, in real-time. Additionally, the command leadership plans on creating digital personalised dashboards that will deliver relevant information and analysis capabilities so that users can track the performance of subordinate units within the organisation. The USAREC selected Brio to become its business intelligence standard over its current provider, Cognos.
Numerous other US government defence agencies are already realising the benefits of their Brio implementations, such as the US Army Chief of Naval Operation, Defence Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency.
