A second version of Palladium, the locally written and developed multi-user accounting software for SME businesses, has been released to compete with the likes of Pastel Evolution, for companies that have outgrown solutions such as Pastel Partner or Quickbooks.
"A new market segment for five to 30 users has emerged, demanding user-friendly accounting software solutions that are sufficiently feature-rich with embedded business intelligence and drag-and-drop functionality for them not to need more expensive ERP systems," says Palladium managing director Stephen Corrigan.
Corrigan adds that by offering ERP functionality at SME pricing and optimising the latest features in Microsoft's SQL server database with full data authentication and rollbacks, Palladium is able to guarantee data integrity. Such stability eliminates downtime and maximises staff productivity.
Our business has quadrupled over the past six months, and the three product versions - Enterprise, Business and Individual - are also being successfully sold into sub-Saharan Africa.
"As a result of this optimisation, Palladium is the only accounting software company in the world to offer a three-year money-back-guarantee against data corruption. Rock-solid stability ensures that businesses maintain maximum up-time and do not incur unnecessary consulting costs."
The software uses on-demand database connections for seamless operation in even the most challenging environments. Corrigan says this supports the most simple standalone system and local area network environment, with full support for wireless networking technologies as well as wide area or remote access solutions.
"Most other systems establish a direct connection to datasets on installation. Palladium, however, operates at a higher level, allowing users to create multiple database sets, which each have the ability to connect to their own Palladium server group of companies."
In a nutshell, wide area connectivity is achieved across multiple servers while a user can work from home without the need to buy third-party terminal emulation software, achieving all of this through the same Palladium interface.
"Our drive is to bridge the gap between SME and ERP accounting markets, with affordable, practical and stable feature-rich software that is easy to use, despite the many big business features inherent in the package."
Our functionality is extensive, including easy, intuitive navigation, "as-at" or "any date" reporting, multi-currency, advanced user and document directional printing, a powerful general ledger with transactional history retention for life, advanced user and account security, user warehouse security, business intelligence, customer/supplier terms and history, multiple units of measure, returns and credit note management, advanced upsell, distribution and margin optimisation, automatic price updates, customer quotations, multi-warehousing and distribution, serial number tracking, point of sale, Google maps integration, project cost tracking, integrated SMS, remote sale terminal, and much more.
Palladium is supported by an international business partner and distribution channel and has a Johannesburg-based helpdesk.
