With SafeGuard 4.30, the new version of the established hard-drive encryption solution, Utimaco offers users the highest level of protection and flexibility.
For the first time, users can log in with a combination of password, the Lenovo Fingerprint Reader or the RSA SecurID SID800 two-factor authentication token, even before the system has finished booting. The new log-in features require only a fraction of the time needed to activate the operating system. They also ensure the highest level of access protection currently on the market.

Depending on a company's security requirements, it is possible to encrypt parts of the database or the whole database, as well as external data storage media such as disks or USB memory sticks. The new option of pre-boot authentication using a password, fingerprints or two-factor authentication tokens, and combinations thereof, prevents unauthorised access to data by third parties.
