The month of March brought with it much excitement for cycling enthusiasts around the world. Sunday 13th March 2005 saw the day of the annual Cape Argus Pick `n Pay Cycle Tour in Cape Town South Africa. Entrants from over 55 countries participated in the event making it one of the largest and well-known cycle races in the world. With its history dating back to 1978, the race has grown year on year in magnitude now sporting thousands of enthusiasts.
The race commenced in Cape Town CBD with over 110 km of vigorous racing ahead for all entrants. The route map checkpoints included areas such as Kalk Bay, Simons Town, Hout Bay, Camps Bay and Sea Point - giving the cyclists sight of some of the most beautiful places on earth!
