Boxlee Packaging has been in the corrugated market since 1990, and is one of the largest privately-owned sheet board plants in South Africa.
Faced with an ageing IT infrastructure and high support and maintenance costs, Boxlee Packaging invited vendors to assist with updating its infrastructure. A joint offering by the velocity Managed Infrastructure Services, velocity Office Productivity Solutions and velocity^3 divisions of the velocity group was selected.
The solution consisted of new bizhub printers, AVAYA IP Office IP PBX, HP Servers, Neotel voice and data connectivity, Mimecast Unified Email Management, Private Hosted Microsoft Exchange, hosted disaster recovery and a services contract.
“velocity group has saved us 40% on our monthly IT costs as well as migrating us to new technology and building a platform for our future growth,” says Ryan Swan, Operations Manager - Boxlee Packaging.
“We are delighted to have proven that a unified approach to IT, addressing all the costs related to IT in the business, derives an overall cost and productivity benefit for our customers. Areas such as printing, connectivity and the impact of e-mail downtime are often neglected in the calculation of the true IT cost to the business,” says Jonathan Kropf - Group Managing Director, velocity group.
