VERITAS Software Corporation, The Data Availability Company, today announced that USinternetworking, the leading application service provider (ASP), has joined VERITAS Software`s xSP Channel Partner Program to customize support packages that ensure customers have continuous access to their mission-critical data. The xSP Channel Partner Program will assist in enabling USinternetworking to provide predefined VERITAS Software integrated services and support packages that meet the needs of its enterprise clients.
"As the enterprise ASP market leader, USi wrote the book on providing maximum capability to its ASP clients in keeping with its industry leading SLAs," said Nick Magliato, senior vice president, Global Services Platform Development, USinternetworking. "VERITAS Software helps to make this possible via its data availability solutions and we are pleased to extend our VERITAS relationship through the xSP Channel Partner Program."
VERITAS Software and USinternetworking have partnered to enhance data availability, performance and flexibility for USI customers. A part of VERITAS Vplus, VERITAS Software`s global partner program, the xSP program enables Internet service companies to meet customers` data availability demands by customizing levels of service-level agreements with VERITAS Software solutions. VERITAS Software`s products and services will be a key component of USi`s hosting/architecture solutions, easily complementing and enhancing its cross-platform strategy and operating standards. USinternetworking has implemented VERITAS Software products, including VERITAS Cluster Server, VERITAS File System, VERITAS NetBackup DataCenter and VERITAS Volume Manger, to help automate and scale provisioning, construction and management processes across its heterogeneous network infrastructure. VERITAS Software`s Enterprise Consulting Services Team helped USinternetworking through the process of designing, implementing, operating and analyzing its end user site`s data availability, vulnerability and performance characteristics to determine what support packages best meet its clients` needs.
"It is the mission of the VERITAS xSP program to help our partners, such as USinternetworking, meet and exceed customer expectations and meet specific SLA requirements," said Joe Julian, senior vice president, American sales, VERITAS Software. "Combining the expertise of VERITAS Software and USinternetworking, customers can rest assured in the knowledge that their mission-critical data is protected and is always available for business without interruption."
