Video conferencing saves costs

Graybow Communications Group conducted a video conferencing event titled Tandberg on Tap to numerous business owners and professionals interested in saving money through technology, reports PRLog.

In conjunction with Tandberg, Graybow demonstrated how Graybow's Advanced Services can integrate with Tandberg's line of video conferencing equipment to reduce business travel expenses and increase efficiency and productivity.

The video conferencing products demonstrated included the Tandberg Codec C90, a flexible tele-presence and collaboration engine that delivers 1080p HD video and ultra-wideband audio, and the Tandberg 1700 MXP, a personal video conference system that features a compact, high-definition camera plus CD-quality audio.

Nikon announces D5000

Nikon has unveiled the D5000 upper-entry-level DSLR camera, which appears to go head-to-head with Canon's EOS 500D, aimed at DSLR owners and experienced compact users, states Photography Review.

It combines many of the features of the D90 in a slightly smaller, simpler body and includes a 12.3 MP CMOS sensor, live view, 720p movies and a 2.7-inch, 180-degree tilt/swivel LCD.

The D5000 has inherited the D90's HD movie capability, Nikon's proprietary D-Movie function.
