Vider'e, VBrick
Vider'e Conferencing, a provider of integrated, high-definition, audiovisual and networked solutions and services, and VBrick Systems, an online streaming video company, have entered a partnership. Vider'e Conferencing will resell VBrick's suite of enterprise video systems as part of their videoconferencing solutions and service offerings, reports Earthtimes.
This relationship has already proven successful as educational institutions such as Greater Lowell Technical High School in Lowell, Massachusetts and Smith College of Northampton, Massachusetts have entered into agreements to benefit from this technology.
Vider'e Conferencing has placed VBrick products and services under its existing Massachusetts State Contract partnership.
Avid rules box office
Generating a combined revenue of more than $3.68 billion at the US box office, the top 28 highest-grossing movies this summer were created by customers of Avid Technology, using systems from at least one Avid brand, says CNN Money.
From "The Dark Knight", the second film in history to top the half-billion dollar mark, to "The House Bunny", the majority of these films deployed workflows consisting of multiple Avid systems.
Among the systems customers used were Avid Media Composer systems, Avid DNxHD 36 codec or Avid Unity MediaNetwork for video editing and shared storage; Digidesign Pro Tools for editing and mixing sound; Sibelius 5 for music composition and scoring; and SOFTIMAGE|XSI for 3D animation, 3D design and visual effects.
Vywe 3.0 unveiled
Vyew, a provider of browser-based visual-collaboration and Web-conferencing software, has unveiled Vyew 3.0, reports Emediawire.
Vyew 3.0 improves the experience of Web conferencing and visual collaboration with contextual discussions, voice comments, Web cam support and other communication enhancements.
It requires no software installation so it can be accessed from any Windows, Macintosh or Linux computer with any browser. Collaborators can enter a meeting with one click on a meeting link.
