SAP AG today announced at the CeBIT 2001 international technology conference that Villeroy & Boch will market its products for the kitchen and bath with the help of mySAP Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM) Field Sales.
By implementing mySAP CRM, the company expects to improve the exchange of information between its back-office and its field sales personnel as well as enhance customer service throughout Europe.
With the introduction of mySAP CRM Field Sales, Villeroy & Boch Sales and Distribution benefits from an integrated customer database as well as a state-of-the-art infrastructure for communication between office and field personnel. Sales representatives can access current customer and product data, orders, customer service records and information on Villeroy & Boch showrooms any time and anywhere on their laptop computers. If a sales representative gathers new information during a sales contact, he or she can enter it into the system right then and there. As a result, data is now available to the back office much more quickly than it was on the company's previous, nonintegrated system.
With the help of field sales functionality in mySAP CRM, the company seeks to strengthen the loyalty of customers such as wholesalers, retailers, building contractors, public institutions and businesses to the Villeroy & Boch brand. It also expects to gain competitive advantages when processing new customer data.
"With mySAP CRM, we can respond to inquiries more quickly and absolutely reliably," said Reinhold Jacoby, project manager in the Sales Support Division at Villeroy & Boch. "In addition, we can now standardize our sales and distribution processes and map them end to end in our system. This improves our customer service and increases our productivity and turnover."
The factors that tipped the balance in favor of the CRM solution from SAP were its innovative architecture and comprehensive functionality as well as its seamless integration with the productive SAP system already in use at Villeroy & Boch. Because mySAP CRM will be deployed in several countries, the multilingual capabilities of the system were another important criterion. Finally, the long-standing, successful working relationship with SAP and implementation partner SAP CRM Consulting played a role in the selection.
Villeroy & Boch will introduce mySAP CRM first in Germany; following that, the solution will be implemented at the company's subsidiaries in France and in other European export markets and extended to the company's tile division. Villeroy & Boch also plans to implement sales and service scenarios from the call center solution of mySAP CRM. To successfully support the improvement in sales and distribution on the logistical side, the company has simultaneously begun to implement mySAP Supply Chain Management (mySAP SCM) and mySAP Business Intelligence (mySAP BI).
