SA's arm of international business Virgin Mobile has realigned its in an attempt to rope in customers.

outlets to complement the five it has opened since November last year. The company says, over the next 18 months, it hopes to bring its total franchise presence to 42 stores across SA.

“In addition to the roll-out of the new franchise stores, Virgin Mobile has opened 13 branded dealer stores throughout KwaZulu-Natal, which has expanded its retail footprint visibly in this province,” the company says.

According to Virgin, the company is hoping to boost its visibility and “an enhanced service offering” to entice South Africans to use its product. “Advantages of the branded franchise stores include offering walk-in customers a wider range of in-store services, a higher level of customer care, and a more specialised sales service.”

The company has also decided to upgrade its Web presence, through the redesign of its Web site.

Virgin was one of SA's first virtual mobile operators, providing services without actually owning any network infrastructure.
