Virtual conference planned

AOTMP will present a virtual conference and trade show for telecom and IT environment management, says TMC Net.

The online, one-day event will be held on 24 September, and will offer all of the educational and networking opportunities of a live, in-person conference through an Internet-based platform.

The event will feature educational presentations, led by AOTMP experts as well as enterprise telecommunications and IT professionals.

CA is joining Arcot Systems, which deals in Internet security, in bringing out a new risk-based authentication technology that will fight phishing and other Web attacks, says TMC Net.

Under a reseller agreement with Arcot, CA will extend its suite of identity and access management products that help secure Web businesses and identities online - a sorely needed solution among financial institutions, government agencies and retail and healthcare organisations.

"The integration of Web access management with risk-based authentication provides great synergies by enabling organisations to dynamically adapt to evolving threats, and improve their compliance posture," says Mark Diodati, a senior identity and privacy analyst with Burton Group.

Enterprise Management Associates, an IT management research and consulting firm, is expanding its ITIL educational programmes for enterprise IT professionals, says Analyst News.

The new programmes help IT organisations get ITIL V3 certified, through an EMA partnership with itSM Solutions, or quickly come up-to-speed on new IT disciplines through a variety of hands-on EMA workshops.

The new service offerings cover ITIL V3, IT service management, best practices, and emerging IT management disciplines like data centre automation, virtualisation, service catalogue and the configuration management database.
