Visual Information Systems, The Solutions Company form alliance

Johannesburg, 07 May 2002

Visual Information Systems (VIS), a software development company specialising in Internet applications addressing the growing demand for e-business solutions, and The Solutions Company (TSC), an IT, business development and software distribution company, have pooled their resources and formed a strategic alliance.

VIS`s "flagship" product JobMatrix, an online recruitment solution, and TSC`s SuSE Linux will spearhead this alliance. They are now able to offer their clients a total solution not only based on product delivery, but more importantly on after-sales support and service.

"SuSE Linux, the leading global Linux distribution, offers all the benefits of open source standards, as well being the only Linux distribution that is supported locally. Through our alliance with VIS, VIS can offer JobMatrix as a cost effective business solution on a platform that enables business`s to scale their technology without compromising stability, functionality or security," said Roman Scheidegger, MD of TSC.

The relationship between TSC and VIS will involve working together to build a productive infrastructure relevant to the client`s workplace. The aim is to enable companies that previously could not afford a technology solution with a reduction in initial expenditure by eliminating unnecessary costs, resulting in the transformation of their business into a cost-effective operation.

"VIS is excited to offer JobMatrix on Linux, which is the fastest growing operating system in the world. JobMatrix combines Internet-based recruitment with a sophisticated back-end system, and offers enormous cost-saving opportunities to organisations reliant on attracting the best people," said Henk Goosen, CEO of VIS.
