Global business process management company Vitria Technology has signed a deal with Motio, a provider of IBM Cognos business intelligence (BI) software, to offer extended BI capabilities.
The deal will see IBM Cognos BI software integrated with Vitria's Operational Intelligence (OI) software, which has Web 2.0 tools for real-time business analytics.
Lance Hankins, CTO of Motio, says: “Utilising MotioADF as a bridge, IBM Cognos customers can now use the power of Vitria's M3O Operations Book to easily and efficiently pull their BI content into rich, versatile and custom M3O dashboards, side by side with data from many other sources.”
According to a statement, Vitria's M3O Suite's OI platform analyses business activities and enables users to take action before opportunities have faded or problems have escalated.
Vitria senior vice-president Bob Meindl says: “MotioADF makes it possible to seamlessly integrate IBM Cognos report services with our OI capabilities, using flexible, multifaceted dashboards that integrate continuous feeds from multiple sources.”
The Vitria M3O/MotioADF combination is targeted at users who have information spanning multiple, disparate sources that they want to directly analyse with their IBM Cognos data.
