Vodacom CEO Alan Knott-Craig has been released from hospital following a heart attack almost three weeks ago, says to Dot Field, Vodacom group executive of corporate communications.
"He`s at home now, and doing really well," she confirms, adding he should be back at the helm of the cellular operator within the next couple of weeks.
She says there is no doubt he will continue as CEO, despite some raising questions as to whether he would hand over the reins.
"He was even working just after he had the heart attack, from his hospital bed," notes Field.
While Knott-Craig has been recovering in a Johannesburg hospital, the cellular group has been under the leadership of COO Pieter Uys.
