Vox Telecom has unveiled a suite of products to bring the , cost and reliability of hosted services to SMEs.

loss is still a big threat to many SMEs who depend on physical servers that could be damaged or stolen,” says Jonathan Young, Vox Telecom's Microsoft product manager.

The suite includes Microsoft Hosted Exchange, Recovery Vault and Hosted McAfee, providing comprehensive mail management, backup and disaster recovery, and security services.

Recovery Vault means no more cumbersome tapes, backups to USBs or external hard drives, says Young, and backup can be automated so there is far less risk of human error.

“Recovery Vault gives the option of backing up continually every time a change is made [to ],” Young adds.

With e-mail having become a critical business application, the next step is to upgrade the e-mail server, Young notes.

According to him, Microsoft Hosted Exchange gives users the advantages of the Exchange server, including sharing contacts, calendars and public folders, without any of the expense and hassle of owning a physical server.

Add Hosted McAfee and all the business' e-mail is protected from spam, viruses and malware. In addition, it provides an audited, searchable archive of all mail going back up to 10 years.

“Our hosted suite allows small businesses to decrease their risk and improve their productivity and profitability,” Young concludes.
