Vox Telecom's CFO will step down at the end of this month.

Mike von Holdt will leave the telecommunications company at the end of March, but Vox has not provided any reasons for his departure. It did, however, wish “him well in his future career”.

Von Holdt completed articles with Ernst & Young in 1995 and stayed on as a manager in the audit division, before joining ABN Amro Securities, in 1997, as an assistant research analyst in mining financials. Thereafter, he joined Vox.

He will be succeeded by Gert Koen, from the beginning of April. Koen is a chartered accountant and achieved a BAcc (Hons) degree, from the University of Stellenbosch, in 2000. He then completed his articles with Greenwoods Chartered Accountants, during which time he managed the audit of Vox Orion.

Koen joined the group in January 2004 as assistant financial manager for Vox Orion and was later promoted to financial manager.

“During his tenure at Vox Orion, Gert [Koen] was actively involved in most aspects of the business, and, as a result, gained valuable experience in the telecommunication industry,” says Vox.

In 2008, he was promoted to financial manager for Vox Telecom and reported to Von Holdt.
