Vox Telecom non-executive director Lulu Gwagwa has resigned from the company with immediate effect.

Gwagwa was an alternate director to another non-executive director, Thierry Dalais.

She has a Masters degree in town and regional planning from the University of Natal, an MSc (cum laude) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a PhD from the University College, London.

Vox thanked Gwagwa for her contribution, but did not give any reasons for her resignation.

Dalein van Zyl has been appointed as an alternate non-executive director, taking over Gwagwa's role.

Van Zyl completed his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at Stellenbosch University and, after graduating, spent time in the mining industry and investment .

In 2002, he left SA to complete his MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After graduating, Van Zyl joined The Boston Consulting Group, in New York City.

He left the US in 2007 to return to SA and join Metier, where he is an associate principal of the Lereko Metier Capital Growth Fund.
