Vox Telecom has launched its latest voice and data solution, Zeppelin, a 4Mbps dedicated wireless service, which comes in at almost a third of the price of a traditional Diginet offering, making it accessible to both SMEs and corporates.
According to Vox Datapro MD Gary Sweidan, there is a common misconception that wireless is not an effective corporate voice and data solution. “While this may be true for general wireless broadband solutions, it is not the case with this product.
“Zeppelin is not a broadband product and as a result does not have the issues associated with broadband. It provides dedicated secure bandwidth, with a guaranteed 4Mbps line. It is also very reliable and offers excellent voice quality through the Vox carrier grade network,” says Sweidan.
Zeppelin operates as a microwave point-to-point service, linking the customer directly to the Vox infrastructure. “This is a highly secure and reliable network and is used by some of our largest corporate clients,” adds Sweidan.
The product is currently priced at R19 950 per month, which includes the cost of the line, bandwidth allocation, router and gateway to enable voice. “If you wanted access to the same product and services via a traditional 4Mbps Diginet line, you would be paying in the region of R55 000. Zeppelin can save your business in excess of R300k a year on access costs alone,” adds Sweidan.
According to Sweidan, this is the most affordable offering in the market. It is easy and quick to install and can replace your traditional infrastructure. An added benefit is that it is able to integrate with Cristal Vox, providing all the benefits associated with our corporate voice solution. These include; cheaper calls, rebates on incoming calls, geographic numbers and local number portability, which allows you to keep your telephone number even if you change service providers.
“If you are looking for a secure, reliable, fast and most importantly, cost-effective, voice and data offering that can be used either as a primary or secondary network, Zeppelin is the answer,” says Sweidan.
