One of Vox Telecom's non-executive directors has resigned, and another has been appointed to the board.

Tshakalisa Matiwaza stepped down from the board from Saturday, and was replaced by Ernst Roth.

Matiwaza represented the shareholding interest of the Mvelaphanda Group and has degrees in commerce and science, as well as an MBA. Mvelaphanda owns 12.3% of Vox.

Roth was appointed as a non-executive director from Saturday. He is CFO of Mvelaphanda and, after qualifying as a chartered accountant, spent most of his career in public practice. He also worked in the office of the auditor-general of SA for three years.

Before joining Mvelaphanda, Roth served as a credit monitoring executive for a local , financial and chief executive officer of a biochemical company, and worked as a financial consultant to Mvelaphanda.

He joined Mvelaphanda in June 2007 as group financial executive and was appointed as CFO in September of that year.
