VPNet Technologies, a provider of virtual private (VPN) solutions for service providers and enterprises, and Equant, a global provider of and network services, say Equant`s Integration Services division has become a VPNsure Alliance Partner.

From April, Equant Integration Services will provide global implementation and maintenance services, including on-site installation and integration, and 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week on-site support to help meet the demand from VPNet`s service-provider and enterprise customers for VPN solutions. This partnership will expand in the future to include additional services that take full advantage of Equant`s internetworking capabilities, the companies say

"The continuing globalisation of today`s economy has forced many service providers and enterprises to look to VPN technology for cost-effective, scalable worldwide connectivity," says Frank Guerrero, VP of marketing at VPNet. "Given this demand for global VPN services, it was only natural that we would team with a leader like Equant, which has a presence in 220 countries."

Equant offers full support services for multi-national corporations` WAN-to-LAN-to-desktop communications, and has formed strategic business partnerships with companies such as Nortel Networks, Lotus, IBM and Cabletron.

IBM, Novell, Hewlett-Packard and Clarent are just some of the companies participating in VPNet`s VPNabled Partner Programme, which certifies partner products and services for interoperability with the company`s VPNware products.
