1Stream has partnered with Globility, a division of business continuity provider ContinuitySA, to introduce a “walk in and talk” contact centre solution.
The initiative will offer managed premises providing all the necessary equipment and hosted technology, from reception services to furniture and PCs, as well as a world-class telephony platform based on Interactive Intelligence technology.
According to Bruce von Maltitz, MD of 1Stream, using hosted contact centre technology has proven to be 30% to 40% cheaper than capex-based solutions.
Research findings from Frost and Sullivan's “Partnering with clients to create innovative growth strategies” report show there are numerous factors motivating the implementation of hosted solutions.
1Stream says it has researched the topic many times for its clients, and hosted solutions have always emerged as the less expensive option. “This is also backed up by the fact that the world is going the hosted route,” says Von Maltitz.
Globility MD Anthony Askew said in a statement the service is not just for foreign investors, as everyone has to manage their costs more carefully and increase productivity.
“Some of our clients have come to us because running their contact centres from their own main head office buildings had become stupidly expensive and they needed a hassle-free alternative,” he said.
1Stream often deals with offshore companies that come to SA and want to set up a call centre relatively quickly, but they don't necessarily want to invest a large amount of capital to achieve this.
Basically, they want to be able to set up operations with their own staff, but they don't want to end up owning fixed assets in a foreign country, hence the idea for a "walk in and talk call centre", Von Maltitz concluded.
