Walker, a global provider of financial, operational and analytic applications, has announced support for ShowCase Corp`s reseller agreement with IBM Software Solutions. ShowCase, a provider of data warehousing solutions for IBM`s AS/400, has announced a five-year reseller agreement with IBM Software Solutions whereby IBM`s Software Group`s sales force will offer customers ShowCase STRATEGY, including Hyperion9 Essbase/400, as part of IBM`s core Business Intelligence solutions offerings.
Because Walker provides a Showcase STRATEGY-based solution, this new alliance will allow Walker to reach the AS/400 market with the Horizon suite of analytic applications. Customers will benefit from this alliance by taking advantage of IBM`s expertise with Business Intelligence Solutions to address business issues. ShowCase and Walker together have developed a business intelligence solution that complements a company`s existing enterprise applications, the Horizon Planning and Forecasting, Financial Consolidation and Reporting applications to better manage company performance. Walker`s Horizon leverages ShowCase`s STRATEGY engine to preview the effect of potential business decisions.
