Spearheaded by a service offering launched recently in South Africa, Wang Global has been awarded a 10-year expanded service agreement by First Union Corporation, a leading financial services provider in the United States.
Valued at more than US$220-million, the new service agreement will enable First Union to benefit fully from Wang Global`s NetWorkPlace service offering to include the design and deployment of a fully integrated, end-to-end desktop and network infrastructure. Currently, Wang Global provides First Union with maintenance services, hardware help desk, server build and migration, and project services.

NetWorkPlace is a comprehensive portfolio of services that places an organisation in strategic control of its networked computing environment by providing a managed Common Operating Environment (COE) and a robust Common Support Environment (CSE).
