World Computer Systems (WCS) has opened a new depot in Linbro Business Park in Johannesburg, part of a broad expansion strategy that will see the components distributor open new branches in major cities countrywide.
"Our business is growing tremendously," says managing director, Mohammad Denath. "As we continue to pick up new distributorships, it is vital that we have enough capacity to hold stock and provide the required support to our channel partners.
"In addition, being a distributor located on the East Rand slightly disadvantaged us in the past as many of our channel partners are based in the North."
Linbro Business Park is situated just off Marlboro Drive on the N3 where access from Pretoria, the Northern suburbs or central Johannesburg is fast and easy. "Our aim is to maximise our dealers` productivity by minimising collection and service time," says Denath.
The depot has a large warehousing space, and will be headed by a branch manager. It will be linked to the company`s head office on the East Rand via a diginet line and will house the WCS technology centre.
Other branches throughout SA are being planned for opening soon.
